 1. What is the difference between inside and outside mount?

The difference between inside and outside mount is the way in which the blind or shade is hung. Inside mount is attaching the blind within the window sill so that the blinds or shades are flush with the wall. Outside mount is when a blind or shade hangs outside the window sill and extends beyond the wall or door

 2. How do I measure for an inside or outside mount?

Measure the width inside the window opening at the top, middle and bottom. The top measurement is critical because the headrail must fit! Record the actual dimension of the shortest width to the nearest one eighth of an inch.

Measure the height inside the window opening at left, right and center. Record the actual dimension of the shortest height to the nearest one eighth of an inch. Also measure the window on its diagonals. If the two diagonal dimensions are not exactly the same, it may be necessary to specify an outside mount for optimal fit, light control and privacy.

Measure the desired width and height. To minimize light leakage, the shade should overlap the window opening at least 2" on each side and at the bottom.

When measuring the height, take into account the requirements for mounting the bracket attachment
 3. Are the installation instructions included?

The products come with the installation instructions in the box. If you can't find the instructions in the box, look on our Web site for your product and you'll find them there. Or, call our customer service department.

 4. Do you supply all the necessary hardware?

All of the necessary hardware including installation brackets are included with your blinds. Sometimes spacer blocks or shims may be needed and would need to be found at your local hardware store.

 5. Will I be able to install these blinds myself?

Absolutely. All of the products we sell are easy to install. With the information installation instructions included along with your order, with a few simple hand tools you should easily be able to install all of the products we carry.

 6. How do I clean and care for my blinds?
